Finalists Toobah and Amber work for Hunter CLC, a general community legal centre located in the Hunter and Newcastle regions of NSW. They have created a Hunter CLC’s local podcast which highlights and celebrates the great work of solicitors and clients in their industry. They aim to empower Hunter CLC clients who are often disadvantaged and face barriers to obtaining legal advice. They would use the money to set up podcast equipment and software.

Finalists Laura is a mum and pre and post natal fitness coach who offers bootcamp style sessions to low socio economic schools to help mums access fitness without the financial barriers. She has just finalised an agreement with one school and is working with others to financially subsidise the sessions for these women. She would use the Awesome money to further subsidise the fees for mums, hopefully offering at least a few months of free sessions.

It was a tough decision to make, but votes were cast and we invited Josh to the stage to award the money! Congratulations to Newy Food Adventures! We can’t wait to see where this delicious endeavour takes you next!
