To the Edge High Performance Centre, located in Cardiff, has the goal of hosting, training and producing world-class athletes to showcase the elite level of sportsmen and women right here in Newcastle.

The man behind this big dream is Daniel Moffatt-Martin who took home the $1,000 cash grant from Awesome Newcastle back in May for his athletic development facility.

We recently caught up with Moffatt-Martin to see what he has been up to.

“To The Edge High Performance Centre is going really well, we’re taking on new athletes every week and growing towards our goal.”

On top of running the centre, Moffatt-Martin is continually building his skill set and accreditations so he can reach the highest level possible to be an internationally recognised trainer.

Moffatt-Martin has recently completed the practical component for the next stage of his Performance Coaching degree at the NSW Institute of Sport.

Additionally he has been working closely with the Newcastle Knights, 1^st grade team.

Moffatt-Martin’s goal is to get an internship with Red Bull USA. He is currently waiting to hear back about the possibility of heading over there and embarking on a seriously inspiring experience that ultimately started this big idea of a high-performance centre for Newcastle.
